New Forum Posts and Web Browser

From my short experience with the eGO forums, I thought it was very convenient that new threads and posts to existing threads were marked as new (highlighted in bold and circle filled in blue) whenever the forum pages where opened. Once a thread/post was opened and I returned to the forum page, the thread was no longer highlighted.

Some time ago, seems like 2 or so weeks, this doesn't work the same way any more. After reading a thread/post and returning to the forum page, the highlighting is gone. However, if I close my browser (Firefox) and return to the same forum, the threads/post that I have already read are once again marked as new. Sometime during the day, the threads/posts are no longer marked as new, but this can be hours after reading them for the first time.

Does anyone know why this is happening? And better yet, how to fix it?

Its not you. Its everyone. Its the servers reading your browsing history so it can make an assumption if you have read a certain thread or not. It happens to everyone and you shouldn't be concerned about it at all. No one should since its not even a problem you can control/fix.

Just the way VBulletin works.

If you previously visited the site and the thread has not been updated since your last visit, it will appear this way.
