Set to take place on Saturday, May 4 at 8:00PM CST, VP :3 and Sephiroth will be part of the team representing the communities in the 5th Communities vs. Pros event hosted by Apocalypse Gaming, Twitch.tv, Teamfortress.tv, and EOReality.
Of more than one hundred applicants from gaming communities throughout Team Fortress 2, eGO was picked to have representatives play the Scout, one of only nine positions chosen for this event.

My Communities vs Pros Journey

Back a few months ago, Wilson asked if I wanted to be sign up to be a candidate for the next Communities vs Pros. I went ahead and said sure for scout, not knowing what I'd be jumping into. When he told me the news we had gotten picked, I wasn't very enthusiastic at first. I didn't know anything about CvP, the rules, nothing.
After the first meeting and meeting everyone, I was pretty excited. Exactly 1 week after that meeting, we played our first scrim. At the time we had only picked Badlands of course for the 6s team's pick. We got straight up rolled, 0-5. The comms weren't very good for us and it was just chaotic. Next scrim, the same thing happened. We stayed afterwards to go over what we did and come up with new strategies. By the third week, we were able to communicate and play like bread and butter.
We moved up to Intermediate teams and continue to lose Badlands, except once. Lakeside and Badwater are the maps where we shut the pros down. Wilson himself played last Thursday, March 28th, against the team with some other IM guys they picked up last minute. That match was a lot of fun.
Just very recently we played the 2nd ranked team in ESEA TF2 Invite, Classic Mix^ (Mixup). We won 2-1 Badlands with spy caps and 5-0 Lakeside. We were all giddy during the match and afterwards that we managed to win against Mix^ and even dominate some players on their team. I dominated two or three myself. So now we're mostly playing Intermediate and Invite teams until the match.
