You guys figure out a good way to coach?
If not, i got a idea,
If we can, we record a demo of a round. Then you either hop in vent or make a video of your thoughts and things. Like a coach would do.
Everyone who wants to get a coach, plays a game like if 12 people want it, 6v6, 10, 5v5.. etc..
Something to start a little basic, and if you coach good you got portfolios.

Yea, we're thinking about starting out with a series of intro to comp TF2 workshops (hopefully we can get one this weekend). Just to familiarize people with the formats, with the roles each class is supposed to play, and then moving into more specific skills like call outs or roll outs or fall out boys. But that's a great idea, a few people have already offered to review demos, so we could combine those two once we start playing games and stuff.

As for Coaching or mentoring I like what they do @ TeamFortress.tv Newbie mixes (seems to work rather well). For the most part each team has 1 coach whom usually spectates rather then plays it's much easier for them to give feed back when they can see the whole game. mentors tend to want game footage that the can view on their own time then can go over with you & give more detailed feed back on you total game play (at least that's how it work with my mentor, i install some software that any time I play in a comp server it auto records & then I put the footage in my dropbox account for him to review).


Be nice to have a system like that here @ eGO but it requires those whom are playing @ a high level of competitive play to be willing to take it on.

I just now saw this...lolololol it's a shame I couldn't make it but I'll still try to be a part of it as much as a can. I'm fairly experienced with comp. play so I may get the feeling I'm too op....lol. This probably isn't true but I'll still go...I don't know what I just said....
