I use windows movie maker to cut it then i use a video converter to change it into a mov file (quicktime format) open it up in adobe image ready put some text on it and then still in image ready save optimized as images only gif. pixels 119 x 100

Also to get the video you can go in your steamapps in media and find it if you clicked watch in hd on steam when it downloads to your steam media list (but im sure you know that)
