HL2: Episode 2?

well, i beat it and i gotta say...it was much...MUCH better than episode 1. anyone else agree with me? i thought that it awesome, and full of action. gotta love half life....

I'm maybe half way through E2 right now, and I must say: WTF is up with all the hype about Portal? I thought this release was about TF2 and Episode 2! And along those lines, E2 rocks (so far) while Portal was, eh, kinda neat...

Just finished Episode 2, had a blast. I thought I was only about half-way through and then I hit the ending. Great story - cannot wait till Episode 3.

Holy CRAP.

HL2: Episode 2 is one of THE best games I've ever played. It's absolutely beautiful, very action packed, very in-depth. I'm not quite finished with it yet, I think I'm coming close to the end. But it's already seemed a fair bit longer than episode 1, with much more variety and tons of cool scenarios. I'll post some screenshots when I beat the game. Got a bunch of good ones!

Totally blows Portal out of the water so far as quality, and length.

im still lookin forward to ep2, i myslef just started hl2 last week since i never owned it and i got it when i pre-ordered orange box.

I have to admit, I loved it. I was a littel disappointed with ep1 but this one more than made up for it. The last fight was a blast blowing up striders and derby car bashing hunters. Only downside was I was getting irritaded with all the antlion tunnels. They were cool, but just a tad to long.

Portal is absolutly hilarious though.

Episode 2 was absolutely amazing. I was so disappointed when I got to the end because I wanted to keep on playing But wow, what an ending it was. And the last fight was insanely difficult. The only thing that upset me is that I was expecting the Portal and Ep. 2 story lines to meet up (Episode 3, maybe? )

Final thoughts:
SPOILER (maybe): GMan and Eli!?!? what the crap!!

One of the achievements on Ep. 2 is to get the gnome into space. I found him in the first room of the game. HOW DO YOU GET HIM ALL THE WAY TO THE END?!?!

And finally: I still crap my pants every time I have to face a Hunter

Anyone notice the reference to Aperature in Episode 2?? (Aperature being in portal) It was referred to in the vid during E2 when they were talking about the borealis, the big ship, which had cranes on it and one of the cargo crates said Aperature on it.

i noticed it, but thats basically all they talked about it. i mean, Portal leaves us hanging with the girl looking into the forest which made me think that since thats where episode 2 takes place, that they'd find her.

Hopefully the portal gun is introduced into Half-Life 2: Episode 3 , I'd cry. And yes hunters freak me out. When i encountered the very first one, i try taunting it by standing in the doorway to the house. Next thing i know it's walking in the house towards me. . . My expression. . . O_O
