Rising Storm is now on Steam

What is Rising Storm you say? This is the standalone game from Red Orchestra 2. The game is set with the Americans fighting the Japanese. The game is set for release on steam during the summer which for some is already happening.

So what is the story behind this? Is it going to be a free/cheap expansion for RO2, and separate/full priced game, or what? I can't find like any information about this, and it looks amazing lol

Well I think its just like RO2, but i have no idea if they will add a singleplayer. Its pretty much RO2, but with the Americans and Japs. Oh its also a stand alone.

Ya, I will for sure be picking this up. I played red orchestra 2 for a while. I was badly manhandled but the games still great . If any of you guys want to play some time. Hit me up on steam.

CoD4 = Call of Duty Modern Warfare. There was no Japanese missions in it. Now, CoD5 World at War, that had the Pacific theater of war... and zombies.

oops, the way i worded my previous post made it sound like i thought ro1 was better than this, i meant that ro1 was better than ro2

but it says that you can hop to ro2 servers from rising storm as a free bonus; so im assuming that this is essentially like darkest hour was to ro1 except they plan on charging us for it

Yeah. Seen it up on Steam cheap with early beta access. Going to pick this up when I get more money in my account.... Just blew 3k, so going to be broke for a bit :*(

pretty good, there are some bugs, but thats to be expected in a beta

all in all i like the asymmetric warfare, japanese get bansai charges, which are crazy fun

they can also set booby traps

Depends if you only want to play the beta. I don't know about you, but i will be spending lots of time after playing the beta.
