Beginner Comp: 1st Lobby

Hey everyone, I know that we haven't gone through all the basics yet but...

Be in vent at 10:10pm EST (7:10pm PST) if you want to jump right in and play some lobbies (Highlander)! Seeing as the comp team doesn't have any scrims this week I figured that there would be a lot of people willing to play. If we can get enough people maybe we could intermingle the comp players with the beginners and form 2 teams? (maybe even play on our own servers, all eGO's battling it out!)

Was a good way to get out feet we, actually was my 1st HL experience.
I will admit went it comes to "true team play" I surely miss using Mumble !

Heh my bad, something urgent came up that I had to attend to.

I know I know I set this all up, but it all turned out okay thanks to hEY and whomever else helped organized it so thank you!

Why not use eGO's mumble?

Didn't even know eGo had a mumble. And I'm not sure why we are using vent for these type of things (it's beyond my call)

I figured everyone had vent and didn't want people scrambling to download mumble. We shall address the mumble issue tomorrow? Add that to the agenda.

Lol sigh.. we'll look at an extension to mumble in a week or two maybe? Like HeadHunter said, it's just not as ubiquitous to eGO as vent is, and my priority is accessibility. So expect most casual games and practices to be Vent and in-game friendly. But we'll consider the logistical switch later on.

We very well MAY do one tomorrow (@5PM PST / 8PM EST). As Puke mentioned, we're having an intro to HL class tomorrow led by PepperRabbit. The recent update broke our dedi server, so we may have to postpone, or raid the eGO league server (ha.. I'm totally kidding leadership *cough*) unless we get it fixed tomorrow morning. We are working on it though, and I'm confident we'll have a backup in place, so don't worry. Assuming everything goes down, though, we'll probably play a scrim or something similar after the instruction portion of the night.

RoflCopter has kindly offered to set up a server for us. I was thinking we can do a match after the HL info session as it would be a perfect way for people to practice what PepperRabbit has taught.
