I agree with that idea to a point but to consider that it was written in the beginning of beta(and also he really sounds like a bad gamer but still) there were some changes(major changes). I just wondered about any TFC players think like it or not. Any comments welcome.

and yeah there are times that I thought it is overrated. but generally great game.

To be honest, his review just makes him look like an idiot. This quote is ridiculous: "With Team Fortress 2, the graphics style is completely revamped, but that is it." I didn't bother reading too much past that, its clearly written by some teenaged whiner looking for attention. He is obviously not a distinguished FPS player, nor should anything he has written be taken seriously. I looked at the scores he presented and the reasons and just had to hold my head and wonder who could be this stupid.

Let me quickly go over his final scores.

"Graphics: 6.5/10, from the videos and the screen shots, the hype, this game does not deliver what we have seen (like the Simpson game)." - ???

"Gameplay: 7/10, it is Team Fortress Classic version 2, but not a source standard steam game." - Come again??? I could have sworn they took out conc nades, took out all nades for that matter, and completely changed the entire structure of the game, including movement speeds, etc.

"Feel/Control: 5/10, standard controls, but not user friendly for a steam game. Balancing of characters/weapons is horrible." - I don't think the author has been playing the same game as us... they balanced every class to the 'T'.

"Sound: 9/10, probably the only solid aspect of the game." - Nothing spectacular about the sounds, except that it is true 3D sound, which is cool.

"Pricepoint: 5/10, 45 bucks for this mod in orange box, and 30 bucks separately. Only a moron would buy it separately." - Only a moron would type up this review. Last I checked, $45 for 5 games was a good deal... and TF2 was the best game I ever played, so this review is pretty much worthless (which is why no one would pay him to type that crap.)

This whole review is bias and under done, the guy apparently had no idea how to play a class based game, and probly likes games were you can pick up any weapon at anytime. The whole complant on the HP level of the Heavy's vs a character with 125, is just ignorant. Heavys are slow and big, they are more likley to get hit by things, wile a scout is fast and if your good at being a scout, ur gonna run circules around enemys before you get killed. The new graphics make the game good, I dont care much for realisitic graphics, I mean its a game, its not suppose to be realisitic. As the comentary says in the game, the game was made to be fun, not exploitable, the fact he said only the pyro is balanced, has got to be the most ignorent thing about the review. Not one class is over powered, or under powered. They all have a job to do, a task to complete advantages over diffrent scenarios and thats what makes this one of the best Multiplayer games I have personly ever played.

All I read was Skareo's summery, which was enough for a good laugh. The kid is a bozo. Just compare his "ratings" to the average of 9.6/10 awarded by PC gaming industry professionals. (see metacritic)

"Balancing of characters/weapons is horrible." Ahhahahahaahahaa....

I dont know I kinda agree about the heavy. For such a powerful looking character he dies real fast and the MG isnt all that good for long range..I also agree about the pistol IT DOESNT fire in the crosshairs. But everything else was crap... TF2 FTW!!!!

I found it funny that he says the sentry dies quick. Yeah... if you leave it unattended. But if you have an engineer hugging it from behind, that thing is almost impossible to kill. I shift my rocket aim to kill the engineer then his sentry. And HW does die fairly easy, but I find strafing back and forth while shooting seems to help a ton. I love heavies that stand there and let me pop 3 rockets into him and kill him without him ever moving. As far as sniping, if i remember the original game, didnt it take 2 headshots as sniper to kill a heavy, now only takes 1? And 1 shot to the chest of a solider? Doesnt seem right. Would like them to check out sniper and scout shotgun damage. But overall, i think the game is great and living up to the hype i gave it in my head.

Well, remember. Every other character can dodge real well. So while the Heavy has a lot of health he cannot dodge attacks if he wanted to. This is why there is a medic. And the MG is NOT for long range at all, the heavy is a medium range powerhouse.

It's not supposed to be the exact same as TFC, it dose have some flaws. But this guy is just rediculous. I did like the weapons better in TFC but that doesn't mean that TF2 is crap. TF2 requires smart gameplay. And if you don't have teamwork then it's almost impossible to play any map. I have longed for a game that requires great teamwork. Hence the name TEAM Fortress 2. Overall I think they did well. I kinda hoped for a more realistic approach for the characters and whatnot, but you get used to the cartoonish look of everything and the game becomes fun. It'll take a while but eventually people will like this as much as and if not more, than Team Fortress Classic.

i'm pretty sure this guy just wanted team fortress:source. not team fortress 2.
