graphics card help

im currently computer shopping, and i realized i dont know anything about graphics cards. so i just want to know what the best card/s is from the computers that im looking at. ill list the card information down below this.

1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA? GeForce? GTX 660

Dual 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA? GeForce? GTX 660

Dual 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA? GeForce? GTX 670


so i just want to know what one of those will give me the best quality, or what one of the three somone would recomend

Any of these cards will tackle major games easily. The amount of memory will matter when you want to do dual-triple monitors.

Your best bet is to look at reviews usually. Newegg is full of those.

If your using a single monitor for and gaming you probably will never need dual cards.

Obviously, the Dual 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA? GeForce? GTX 670 would be the best choice. However, if you're not looking to play at high resolutions and a maximum settings (with playable FPS, at least) then the GTX 660 should suffice.

Honesty bro for that kind of cash I would go for a AMD 7970 because if blows all those cards out of the water in performance in every game and is at the same price out as a 670.

Or, by the date that was posted, you could've said he can get the GTX 770 that blows away the 7970 even in Crossfire xD.

If you updated the benchmarks in his link, you'll see the GTX 770 does NOT blow away the 7970. Out of 70 benchmarks, the 770 wins only 27 of them. Granted, it lost only a few benchmarks by under 2 fps or less, but the same can be said for the 7970. That was for the 7970 GHz Edition.

For the regular 7970, the GTX 770 wins 30 out of 61. So I fail to see how the GTX 770 "blows away the 7970 even in Crossfire."

Price-wise, there's really no difference between the two. They all range between $400-$500 so that's a null factor in the decision as well.
