What did you do today?
Did you do anything special for fallen Armed Forces members?
Do you have a special story you'd like to share?
Does anyone in your family currently serve in the Armed Forces?
Do you know what Memorial's Day is?

My grandfather and father both have served in the military so today I went out of my way to drop an inverted cross on my grandfather's grave and visit my father. We had a "nice" BBQ and went swimming.

This is the first time I've heard of Memorial day. I don't know if any of my grandparents were in the military and I haven't seen any real family in the past 7 years so I can't ask.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 27 in 2013). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the Civil War), it was expanded after World War I.

Ahh water boarding the great equalizer......
We have friends in the Canadian Military and my Grand father use to build bombs for WW2 and my great uncles were in WW2, one died as a pilot and the other drove tank and is still alive.
For the Memorial day side my anniversary is on the 31st but we started dating on the 27 and i was Niagara falls on the week end and took in the fireworks show on the states side last night.

I went to my great uncle's grave to pay my respects.

Sadly I was at work all day keeping busy, not much going on.

However, my grandfather served in the military as well as my uncle who was deployed in Vietnam.

Thank you to all who serve or have served in the defense of their country!

I had a family dinner with all the vets in my family! Also celebrating my step fathers birthday :)

I flew my national flag
and went to a state park

Thank you to all who served, and if you know anyone who is currently enlisted, please send them a big thank you.

What did you do today? Worked at an under-staffed McDonald's the entire day.

Did you do anything special for fallen Armed Forces members? Made some dosh.

Do you have a special story you'd like to share? Never knew that people liked to have Memorial Day parties at McDonald's

Does anyone in your family currently serve in the Armed Forces? Oh wait, I lied. My uncle is in the military.

Do you know what Memorial's Day is? A day to remember soldiers who died in service

Did I pass?

Watched nascar and the indy 500 with both sets of grandparents. They are vietnam vets.

Both of my grandpa's served in Korea, I went out to my local cemetery yesterday to plant flags.

My father served in the military for 26 years, and one of my brothers are currently in the navy, on deployment, and another was in the army.
