Pictures vs Avatars

I understand th ened for pictures and sigs to be externally hosted and liked but on the DOD:S eGO website avatars are uploaded (or can be) to the website for use. Why si this option not allowed here? Is there a way I can link the avatar stored on that website to here so I can use my awsome green monkey avatar?

if you just go over to the dod site and find a post you made then right click on your Avatar, you can get the URL from that. Then you can just bring the URL over to here. That is what I did.
