I have an ATI Rhaedon HD 4200


I really want to play PlanetSide 2, but when i start it, it force closes it and pulls up a page saying i dont meet minimum requirements.

Is there any way i can lower the quality so i can even launch the game? Or is all lost?

and you have a 4200, So to answer your question I would suggest you upgrade your video card

Games already determined that your card isn't meet the specs to even actually run the game even on its lowest of settings properly, only way to change that is to get a newer card because the 4200 is dated at this point for gaming.

Some more info: The 4200 is an integrated graphics chip aka Onboard. This is a SUPER LOW graphics processor that is there to help you watch youtube videos of games in gaming terms. If you look at notebookcheck.net, it lists/compares GPUs, both dedicated and onboard, in terms of ability. The 4200 is near the bottom of the bottom third of the list, competing against GMA's, built in graphics from CPUs (i.e. Sandy Bridge CPUs from Intel actually beat the 4200).

In short: All is lost for you using that GPU. But if you manage to save up some money, you will be able to purchase a relatively cheap card that will give you decent graphic performance for PS2 (not great; I'm thinking between $50-100)
