I definitely think this is bad. If you really mean no changing it at all, I think you should reconsider. I say this mainly because of the issue of text color. Your template has a black text color. What if whatever portion of the background image/screenshot that the text is over is black or some color that will minimize the contrast of the text against the image.

I can appreciate what you are doing here, but you are being a little too harsh. You really can't tell people that they can't just make their own version of this. Your version may not "work" aesthetically in their sig.

There didn't used to be a template at all, it was strictly for eGs and up. The fact that there's been one released for e's to use is a gift in itself. If it doesn't happen to work "aesthetically" in their sig, they can make their own like they've had to for God knows how long.

If we're lucky, a version with white text will be released (if it's not already in the .psd file). But as of right now, this is it. If people don't want to use it they can make their own. This is here for people who actually can, and would like to use it. Not everyone and their mother.

I will NOT make any edits to the Text in the future, and no you may not either.

It is a GIFT to be able to even have this template, so don't get picky.

What you COULD do... is just use a brush and make the area behind the text lighter. Or even pure white if you'd like. Doesn't matter.

Locked layers need to stay locked.

It isn't impossible to change the text colour yourself.

In fact, it's rather easy to do.
