I keep seeing shoutbox posts about it but i never manage to catch the whole conversation. I saw the release and apparently it was disapointing. Someone in the shoutbox said it was a overpriced coaster? My question: what's wrong with it that no one likes it?

Didnt they say the starting price was 499.99? Or something around there. For that money I am sure I could build an OK gaming PC to run any current games.

And you need to be online at least once every 24 hours to even play your games... So always online mode was pretty much true.

You can no longer trade in games unless its through a verified retailer. Meaning if you traded in a 60 dollar game you would normally get 35 back. Now you will only get 20-25 back because a cut of the cash goes to the publisher. Which is good for them BUT you cant sell games to your friends because they are tied to your account. You can however lend a game to a friend after they have been on your xbox LIVE friends list for over 30 days. Its a bunch of crap spewed out by microsoft recently. If people dont go against it, other consoles will start doing the same and the gaming industry will pretty much become nothing but greed instead of when it was about entertainment and fun.

It's not simple. It's expensive. Microsoft is over reaching their customers solely to profit more. You can't even do some of the things you can with with the 360.

If anything I'll get the PS4 and keep my 360.... but the consoles are starting to look really bad with these next models coming out. Customers cannot and should not put up with the stuff Microsoft is trying to do with the Xbox One, otherwise (like Cloakedsphere said) it will just become the norm in the console gaming industry.

The price tag for the Xbox One is $500. There's so much you can't do with it that Sony basically fired all the shots and made it an over-sized coaster. Not to mention the fact that you're paying $500 to allow Microsoft to spy on you freely since the Kinect camera is to be always on. There's just a lot of ways that Sony comes out on top again that Microsoft has just been taking all the shots from Sony.

^This^. As in the other topic, Microsoft doesnt even call this a console. They consider it an "All-In-One Entertainment System"

Everyone summed it up pretty good. Bottom line Xbox One is expensive and restrictive with what you can and cannot do.

It would have ended there, but Sony capitalized on it and fired shots at Microsoft, repealing every bad point made with the xbox one. Want to play used games? You can. Want to stay offline and play single player? You can. $100 cheaper? Yes. Want to loan a game to a friend? You can. The video isn't too mean, it's too funny.

Usually Sony's arrogant attitude of "we're going to do what you do but better" comes off wrong or misguided, but this year they hit it right on the head. They showed that they are listening to consumers by not following Microsoft's attempts to place restrictive systems in place.

I'm with Joe the Plumber. I'll keep my 360 for now, and maybe down the road if I have money and can look into a new console, it will be PS4. Unless Microsoft does some serious back peddling, xbox one is going to be terrible.

If you're talking about the PlayStation Eye, you're mistaken. They aren't even bundling the Eye with the console, it's now a confirmed add-on peripheral.

Well i just watched both revealed.

Although xbox one has some serious problems, it still has some amazing things to go for it.

PS4 is alright aswell.

Everyone keeps talking about the same stuff, must be online, must have game transfered, whatever whatever.

About 90% never are away from internet so im sure the first problem doesnt apply to you, unless you leave the safety of your basement. (lel)

But the game trading thing is ridiculous though.

What if you're in active duty in the military? I know from experience that most of those guys are not playing online and don't even have/want that capability. That is literally just one example, with tons more out there. If they can't even respect their own customers, we shouldn't reward them.

I watched both conferences. Sonys was very underwhelming.

With that said...

Xbox one pre ordered yesterday. Can't wait to have it in my hands.

by the way all of the policies everyone has their arms up in arm about.... for me personally none of them affect me.

And to be honest its all about the games. Exclusives and launch lineup, xbox in my opinion has this hands down.

Men whom go overseas that dont have access to internet cant play any games on the xbox. And the substantial amount of stupid fee's makes it completely worthless. If you were to use every feature on that Xbox one then you will rack up an easy $10,000 USD in fee's before a years end. Its an outrageous amount of money you would spend on something that doesnt seem worth it.
