Isn't V technically been announced since it was teased as The Phantom Pain, then actually revealed as MGSV: The Phantom Pain at PAX East. I think Kojima is warming up more to Microsoft rather that where his series started on the Playstation. You win this round Microsoft.

Excuse me while I wet myself in excitement.
Kojima wanted a older voice actor, since snake is almost 50. Bauer is 49, Hayter is 44. Not much of a difference, but hey, his series, his choices.
Technically the series started in the NES with Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Metal Gear Solid was on the Playstation.

Yeah, but continuity...and stuff. Anyway, I like Kiefer Sutherland and I know that Kojima wanted to take the series in a new direction...but it's a weird jump to make.
Also, it looks like we're getting another trailer tomorrow. Hopefully with the full list of systems that it'll be released on and if it's going to be a 2013 or 2014 release.

It's going to be on ps3? Now I don't have a reason to get a ps4 until later.
