I'd agree with that. if you are pulling over 70Mbps down, you should be getting a bigger portion on the upstream. Although it doesn't appear Charter is scaling their upstream that way (likely to make more room on the pipe for video and other streaming services). Their 100Mbps only advertises a 5Mbps upstream

Rumor is around here that all Charter residential around here will be going from 30Mbps

To make mine fair, I picked a server in texas as that is where a lot of the CS servers appears to be. Charter's routing from where I live almost always gives mediocre pings (i.e goes to Minneapolis when the nearest backbone is in Chicago). I don't think running speedtests from a local ISP shows the true nature of your speeds (especially when gaming, or streaming content from all over the world)

And here's an example. Charter's speedtest.net goes to a place (Eau Claire, WI) which is fairly close.

I'm surprised the ping is as high as it is, to be honest.

Despite living in a really high population area (seattle to the north, tacoma to the west southwest), I have an advantage since there are so few people using Comcast on the branch I'm on. XD

Comcast's made some upgrades apparently...

Also, when did they go from just Speedtest.net to "Ookla"?
