Hey guys just bought a DX4860 Gateway and upgraded its integrated GPU with
an Evga GeForce GTX 650 ti SSC 2gb also had to get an upgraded PSU and got a pretty standard Dynex 520w.

official specs:

Cpu: Intel i5 2320~3.0 GHz
GPU: Geforce GTX 650 ti 2gb ssc
Memory: 7.98 gb
Monitor is an 8 year old Gateway, but its 1680x1050 at 60 Hz.
HDD: 1 TB HDD
OS: W7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1

What I plan on doing is building a rig in the future when i figure out how to get past my hand tremor problem which makes building one nearly impossible atm.
Total expense for this rig was about $750

Just a sidenote when i run BF3 using Screencast to see my FPS its on ultra and when everything in game goes to hell FPS lingers at 55 but on average its 86-114

Not a bad rig at all. Upgraded gpu was a big upgrade indeed. Only thing I would not have recommended was that PSU. Not one you will see recommended on computer tech forums unfortunately. I am sure it is an improvement over the stock one, but that and the monitor would be my only two changes in the future (how big is the monitor and is it a crt?).

the monitor is 20" an FPD2185W
LCD

And i was going to get a corsair PSU, but at the time i couldn't afford it :/

I would upgrade your PSU asap, a low quality PSU can kill the rest of your computer when it dies, it's not worth the risk. A Corsair cx430 is plenty for that rig.
Other than that it's not too bad.
