Hey guys, I'm just curious about how you all got into gaming, whether it was from a young age or recently. We have thousands of members in this community and I'd like to hear what your inspirations were and how you view gaming now.

For me, I started gaming from just about the time I could walk. The first game I ever played was Super Mario, but I spent most of my time out doors. Once I was about 7 or 8, my dad introduced me to Half-Life 1, and I got hooked on it quickly. That is why I have been playing shooters and Valve games ever since, 15 years later.

When I was around 7-8 I used to watch my dad play Half Life 2, Day of Defeat:Source, NeverHood, Dear Esther, and more. He eventually got me my own steam account when I was 8 (probably after playing DoD:S on his account and me dying as a sniper 10 times in a row and ruining his reputation as a decent sniper) and DoD:S was the first steam game I got. I just got back into DoD:S a year ago and have been getting and trying out more games since then.

Can't remember specifically what got me into gaming, but I remember starting with the genesis and it being downhill from there.

I'v been playing Video games since I could hold a controller and i don't intend to stop ever... I'll stop when someone pries the mouse or controller from my COLD DEAD HANDS !!!

I grew up Playing Atari and Commodore 64. I even remember having Windows 3.1

I've been playing video games since I was very little like 3 or 4 yrs old. What got me into css was I went over to my step dads and he was playing it and I loved it immediately, I've been playing it since I was 13.

I used to repair my friend's and neighbor's consoles when I was younger (colecovision, atari 4600, Intellivision, Commodore 64) in the 80's. We couldn't them. I played every game they owned and returned after I fixed the console. Soon came Nintendo & Sega - all over at that point. Started PC gaming over LAN early 90's with Quake / Duke Nukem - Flipped to multiplayer online in 1998 with Unreal. Earned my moniker "kuTTer" in 1999 in a mod of Unreal Gold, using a buzz saw blade gun. Started playing Diablo 2 in 2000, It was all over at that point.

Atari was first for gaming.

But for online gaming.... XTank
