What got you into gaming?

I was introduced at a very young age like 4 when we got a nintendo 64 and so forth from there i was a console gamer as it then increased to playstation and hand helds to playstation 2. I then got into neopets when i was little on the computer and was told i was too young to play guildwars which my parents were both select pre beta testers for which when they look back they laugh at how much it progressed. then as it progressed me and my brother ended up sharing a computer and i was into armorgames.com and things like that. It didnt get serious until I got the halflife box thing that included team fortress 1, half life 1, opposing forces, half life 1, and like half life blue something idr. Thats when i got into the actual pc gamer part when i became part of steam and vavle games. Then css and so forth. Guildwars 2 beta was derpy too and looking at it now i laugh.

I was introduced into it when i was little with the Sega genesis. My mom would play street fighter on it and i would always try and excess to beat her. I still cant beat her in any fighting game like mortal kombat but thats how i started and i still do play games because its a good way to waste some time

My very first game was Mario Cart for the GBA. However what started me was playing Starcraft and Pokemon at my cousin's house. My first shooter game is Halo:Combat Evolved. Played that for a good 5-6 years. Been playing ever since.

I got into gaming when I was about 3 :D We had a PS1 and I played Crash on them, only. I remember I would always get to one point where I couldn't get past and I'd restart the game. And then at the age of 5 I saw my dads uncle playing Half-Life 1 and I wanted some action. Amazingly, I got close to the end at age 5 and I was also very scared of games because of Half-Life... I've been playing Valve games for awhile and I've recently got back into Leage of Legends
and Minecraft :3 In all this time, I'm still very young for most of the games I play.

My friend Nick Seward back in 1999 introduced me to Everquest, I was a D&D nerd for awhile and that was the nail in the coffin someone mapped out a world for me to be a rogue in?!?!?! Let's rock! :D Well then again I actually started with Atari Pinball when I was 6 back when dirt was created. :/

I got into gaming around when I was 6/7 around 1992/1993 I was living in Augusta Ga because my dad was in the military and had to move for 8 months for training. We lived in sort of a bad neighborhood close to the base there wasnt alot of children around and my parents really didnt like me playing outside because it was a bad area. So they bought me my first gaming system it was a NES. After playing ALOT of mario I was addicted to video games and things just went along from there.

The people who got me into gaming are my brothers. The first game that I played was Counter-Strike 1.3 in the computer cafes. This was when I was around 9 or 10? I would play with my brothers because this cafe called "cyberfield" actually had an age limit to play. My favorite map back then was "fy_repub"! I doubt that the map is still out :( But anywho, I took a break from CS back in 9th grade because I got tired and bored and decided to buy an Xbox. I would play here and there but I came back about 3 months ago and became active again. Its funny because when I came back, there was a CS:GO :p

I first started gaming around..6-8 years old? give or take?

Around that time family were playing CSS (reminds me of when you could buy the ammo for your gun separate from the gun) and Warcraft 3: Frozen throne and we'd always be doing LAN parties.

Fun times which shall be missed.

It was 1979, when a great company called Atari came out with what i thought was the greatest thing in the world... Asteroids. played it when ever my mom & dad would give me money to go to the arcade. moved on to consoles with the release of the Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis then the PS1.

Was 12 when i got into PC's when my uncle whom at the time was a member of upper management for IBM gave me my first PC with and Intel 8088 processor with a 5 1/4 in
Floppy drive and a copy of burgertime and a few other games.

My first experience with Online gaming was with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rouge Spear. form then on i was hooked. Ran my own Clan for a game released by the U.S Army called America's Army which was built on the Unreal 1 and 2 engine, They had about 30 maps available and was awesome, It was different the original Counter Strike because you had to play smart because during the rounds when you died there was no re-spawn
you had to wait til the next round to play again so you had to be tactical.

It started when I was about 11 years old. When I had my own computer, I started playing Runescape, which was my very first game. From there, I started to enjoy gaming a lot. After Runescape, I got into World of Warcraft, then once I had to quit that game for personal reasons, I started getting into FPS games. The first FPS game I played was Combat Arms. So I guess you can say that I've been a gamer for 11 years now.

Whoop Whoop Combat Arms is where my fps life began! It was great when it came out, but now it's not so hot, I hop on everyone and then.

Before PC, I played Xbox, and a lot of it. When I discovered Combat Arms, PC was my new go to gaming. Then I found planetside 2, then steam, then I'm where I am today.

It really is my father's fault I'm the gamer I am. Watched him play games like X-com and Jagged Alliance 2 for hours on end. First FPS for me was either Star Wars Battlefront or Command & Conquer: Renegade.

gotta go fast gotta go fast! gotta go faster faster faster faster faster!

Sonic was my first step into video games in 1991.

First games I remember playing were Moon Patrol & Jungle Hunt on the Apple IIe.
Was so excited when my parents got a Tandy 486 with Win3.1 on it...
First shooter that I can remember was Quake II Then it was a lot of CS (on dial-up!) from before Steam came out through 1.6.

Well first it was doom 1 and wolfenstein on windows 98 , then playstation 1 with resident evil 2 , had to wait to play # 1 . a friend showed me counterstrike 1.5 in highschool and it was love at first sight .

My biological Father actually got me into gaming when I was about 13. He started with the original CS and it became something for us to do together. I took a long break from it (about 10 years) just because of life and college and such, but I have always typically dated gamers just because its what I like doing; so gaming was still around me, but I recently started playing CS again this year.
