Hello,

I havnt used my headset (logitech G35) in a long while. I started using
it again since yesterday. And I've noticed I can't hear myself, barely. And
its really annoying, i get the feeling im not talking loud enough. And when there are some loud sounds in the game I start talking louder, while I actually dont have to.

How do you guys deal this problem?

Let me know;)

Like everyone has a headset within edgegamers. Do you guys dont understand my question or why is nobody responding? :(

Hey dude. Sorry no one answered you.

What is your problem? When I use a mic, I never hear myself in vent or in-game chat. I hear my self speaking (as if I was talking to a person in real life). If you want to know if people can hear you, just ask!

If you cant hear yourself talking, thats a good thing. That means you arent screaming into your mic.

-You are never supposed to hear yourself.

haha thats a way of looking at it. But if i dont hear myself i tend to speak louders because I have the feeling Im im not talking loud enough. You just get used to not hearing yourself?

There are options in Windows to send whatever you send out over the mic back to you called "Listen to this device" its in the Recording section. It will be annoying though, I guarantee it.

Why will it be annoying? Because it has a delay? Anyway I turned on this option earlier because I found something about it through google. It didnt help tho, still hear nothing.

Guess I got to get used to barely hearing myself?

Yeah it would start playing back what you said when you're halfway through saying whatever it is you're saying so it gets kind of unbearable. You can try just lowering the volume on the headset.... other than that some headsets are just built that way

The issue is that you can't hear yourself. That means the headphone cups are securing more around your ears, providing a more closed sound experienced. This is actually a GOOD thing.

The obvious answer is to not use a surround sound gaming headset and use a more open-air headset, or just a dedicated microphone. On the other hand, I honestly say you should just get used to it and realize it's not that big of a problem, if at all.

Alright. Yes I figured I should get used to it. But I was also wondering if you guys had the same feeling when you just started using headsets.

It all depends on the headset. I couldn't tell you if I got used to it or the headsets I buy now are just different, but it's just something you'll have to adjust back into

Not really. First time I couldn't hear myself, I keyed up to check if my mic was working fine. Friends said yes, and the gaming commenced.

It's not that I think others dont hear me. Its just that I dont know how loud I am talking. Maybe I am screaming, or not talking loud enough:P

i really dont have the same feeling i enjoy being closed in my own world when i have my headset on... keeps me focused

do not... Actually some radio hosts use sound canceling head phones because they don't like hearing their own voice

Alright I did not know that. But, they say people who are deaf, talk really strange because they dont hear themself talking. That why I have the feeling I talk different while I barely hear myself.

Try to recordere youreself while youre playing with youre phone pr something for an hour or so problem is you might be to concious about it and talk differently

I have the logitech g930 and it only plays back your voice when the mic is too close to your mouth, so you're not supposed to hear your self in the headset unless you're talking super loudly or its super close to your mouth, and also in the software that came with the headset it has a playback button but its kinda delayed so i dont really like it. :P hope that helps.
