random fps drop in CSS - please help!

Hey guys, so I've been having an issue with CSS for about 5 days now (or so). Everything has been fine with the game and I never had this issue before but for some reason now whenever I try to play my fps randomly drops and makes the game lag. I've always had around 100fps steady, and now it drops to 20-30 (or lower) every few seconds. It's not something that happens every few minutes, it's literally every few seconds or less, especially if I move around. When there's a lot of 'action', it can drop to even 4-5.

I honestly have no clue why it's doing it all of a sudden. I've been trying to look it up and I even cleaned the fans and making sure the computer isn't overheating or anything. The only thing I can think of is the last steam update for CSS that was a couple of days ago? I'm not sure if it was happening before that or not...

Intel core i7 2630QM
8G ram
64bit windows 7 home premium
ATI Radeon HD 6770M (2G I believe)
750GB HDD

run antivirus scans.... it sounds as if there is an unknown demand on your RAM, be it background programs, or a virus. A good anti-malware/anti-virus free program is Malwarebytes, found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

download/install/run the free version of Ccleaner... www.piriform.com ... make sure to run both the cleaner and the reg cleaner. This will remove all junk data left from programs like Internet Explorer/Chrome.. and the reg cleaner will clean your registry of all bad entries left after deleting programs/icons/pictures/virus's, etc.

while i was scanning w malwarebytes, avg popped up with like 6 detected viruses (trojan horse)...well shit lol. removed those. then malwarebytes found 3 other ones , so i got rid of those too. everything works great now. thanks a lot!
