Yarnell Hill fire, Prescott Arizona

[Q-tip]

I would like to ask, if you all don't mind, to take a moment to send good thoughts and prayers to the families of the Granite Mountain Hot Shot Fire crew.

All 19 were caught by a sudden and drastic wind change. All 19 tried to deploy their shelters, and none were successful. Most were in their early 20's.

The fire still rages, 0% contained, almost 9000 acres. 200 of the 400 homes in Yarnell have been burned to the ground. People, pets, and incident responders have lost their lives today, and it's very sad.

Thanks,

Q

Please take time to honor the sacrifice of these and all firefighters. They stand between their communities and harm/destruction on a daily basis.

I read that only 1 guy survived from their unit, because he happened to be moving their truck and equipment at the time. Very sad story.
