So I've had 2 gaming PCs for a while now, both from birthdays and holidays when I was younger (and still, you know, getting free stuff twice a year :lol
. My current rigs are one with a GTS 250, the other has some similar low end and old graphics card, and both of them have Intel Dual Cores.
Now, neither of them are bad -- they can still play Counter Strike, TF2, and all that jazz. They can also play newer games at lower resolutions. But I'm wanting to get a new PC for this upcoming console generation that will last me throughout college (because who can actually afford to spend money in college?).
Right now, I'm looking at keeping everything intact, but moving over to an i5 2500k Quad-core, and a 2gb GTX 660. I'm just curious if anyone here uses this CPU and/or GPU, and if so, if they could give opinions, alternatives, benchmarks, etc. Also, if you're looking for getting a new gaming rig, get in here and let others and I help you out!
