Hey guys, I've had the pleasure of playing with y'all for a while now and wish to have eon's more to go (only maybe 30 years or so)...

Well I'm working on building a new fps video game called Terran Conflict(Aliens invade Earth)-will be free to download and play. It's built off the Torque 3d engine (I would rival this engine against the Unreal engine any day). all positions are unpaid:

Mainly what I'm looking for is script kiddies to make/mod guns in the game
Mappers (I will give you a butt load of tutorials and then let you fly, you can create normal play to extreme maps as you wish)
Skinners (To re-skin weapons/players/map models/etc)
Audio (Do you want your custom music/sounds played in a video game!?!?! This is your chance!) essentially game music, and weapon noises...

If you want to officially be part of the dev crew let me know, if you just want to donate some of your hard earned time I'd greatly appreciate it, there are really no boundaries here and no suspense's to meet. The harder you work the sooner the game will be released... at current I'm hoping to enter Beta within a month or so.

Just PM me on here with your "resume(I use this loosely, what you want to do/what you've done in the past)"

Later!

Good luck with your game! However, I don't know if you know this but there is already a game called X3: Terran Conflict. This may cause an issue for you down the road, especially if the game takes off.

If I knew how to do any of this I would be way more than happy to help, as I have all the free time in the world!

well Balthizar hit me up on steam, username (this is my username...) [email protected]

I will teach you all you need to know to do mapping if you're interested.

P.S. Everyone: I just purchased the player and weapon models this morning... good way to spend $80 haha. So I will have working Soldier and Alien models tonight!

Well then I would be happy to help in any way I can!

I would be glad to help! I havent done any type of development sence halo CE and i have no experience with the Torque 3d engine but i can try to be a mapper for you :) Some Close quarters fast paced maps could do well

An update, I've been working on adding the alien models and weapons into the game (successfully)... I talked to the company that produces a lot of the models we're using and broke a deal to where I'll be able to purchase they're zombie models (http://www.garagegames.com/products/zombieartpackcombo) for half off. Will make for a great mod in the game :)

While we are steadily increasing our numbers I'm looking for a little more coding support in the area of someone to work on game balancing, as simple as changing character values and weapon load outs for each player so I can be freed up to work on the bigger aspects.

Another important position we're wanting to fill is someone to work on the visual aspects of all the menu's and player screens-would require some sort of art program (photoshop/fireworks for example)... I'd like to thank everyone for their support!

Good game

i have played the game and it's really good. but what i would like to see in the beta is ragdoll, new hand skins for the humans, and being able to create your own classe's. it is really a good game and i would like to see it make it into market for your hard work on this game.

Just an update, I've received quite a bit of support from the community. 2 people have stepped up for mapping and another for coding/scripting. It makes me very proud that I'm getting such a backing from y'all.

Secondly I'll be purchasing a jetpack model today custom made by a very reputable person (he's charging me for two steam games totaling roughly $23... :P)

I'm still in need of some artistically styled eGO Members(or non-members) who would like to try their hand at constructing buildings for the game, setting up player menu's and just basic overall functionality, I am also looking for someone to take their creative hand and type up a back story to the game, very little guidance is given here. So the plot is yours ... any help is welcome and I will give anyone a shot to contribute

We currently don't have a release for the public yet.

Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone has a free computer that they don't mind donating time and some bandwidth? We're attempting to setup a master server for the game which will allow people to make their individual playing servers. Obviously this will be short term... and just so we can get the game out on the open market for people to play (free market...)

Another option is if you have a web server/website capable of running python scripts.

Let me know if you think you can support... it can be an older computer like a 500 Mhz Celeron with 256MB SD Ram... it just needs to be dedicated. Thank you all!

An update: Game development is going generally well with some hickups, the game will be ready to play as soon as we get a master server setup. if anyone has port fowarding enabled and a spare computer or laptop (even a netbook lol) that the server could be setup on I'd appreciate it. Also if you have an environment that can support Python I could run the server there.
if anyone didn't know...
Definition of Master Server: The Master Server is a meeting place that puts game instances in touch with the player clients who want to connect to them

I'm also still looking for someone who is interested in programming. You do need to have some basic knowledge in C++, and the ability/experience in compiling.
