FireFall is in open beta

What is FireFall you may ask? Well Firefall is an open world MMORPG. You the player will get this suits called "Aeros" which are classes. The classes or "Battle frames" are Assault, Dreadnaught, Recon, Biotech and Engineer. Each class has certain weapons and skills you can use.

Assault is mostly a Rifleman. Dreadnaught is the heavy weapons guy. Recon is sniper of course. Engineer is the Demo guy and lastly the Biotech guy is the medic. However each class can be customized in a certain way.

You will spend a good chunk of your time running around and collecting resources. To collect them you are to scan an area, then hit the ground with a sonic hammer which tells you what resources are nearby. Then you call in a thumper to extract, but yes the Thumper works like the Dune one to where creatures will come and attack it. So be ready for a fight.

So far the game seems to be only collect resources and explore areas. Their is also PVP areas. The game mostly seems PvE. I have not seen too much of a story line, but it is beta and it will have one in the end. So far from what i got is a failed space jump caused a residence cascade event on earth.

All in all you should check it out, seeing as how its free.

um i think its safe to say if you can run unreal 3 you should be good.

I've been in the beta for awhile, its a great game, still needs a lot of work though, most of the classes are mediocre in PvE.

i played it a while back, dunno how much has been added since then but you basically ran out of stuff to do after a couple days of playtime
