Rome : Total war 2. Your starting Faction choice

It would be Egypt for me. I really liked in the first one how there were three different Rome factions and was hoping for a repeat of that. I would happily hoist the banner of the Julii again.

Still that 20 gig install makes me cringe. Who am I kidding, this will probably end up being my favorite "mainstream" game of the year. :)

Carthage or Icini, what can I say I like a challenge.. :)

Disappointed there no Numida, they were one of the hardest factions in rome total war 1

On the one hand, I'm glad that they recognized the distinctions between various barbarian tribes rather than giving broad labels as they did in RTW1. On the other hand, this seems like such a paltry number of playable factions.

Well, all I need are my loyal Roman soldiers, by force of arms. Ave imperator!

There's a settlement called lol?

Pretty sure future DLC's ( unapologetic) will have other factions and units involved. But, 8-11 factions playable and 100+ non playable (as of yet) and 500 units types might make you hesitate to press the end-turn icon. ETW vanilla used to lock up my PC with its endless AI factions and movements.

I've already pre-purchased this game on Steam. Add me if you are going to want to play. :)

its gonne be the game off the year for many i hope on some official ego support! since its very highly anticipated by many online communities!

We need to make a steam group whit all ego players to come together and meet up

I'm so looking forward to Rome 2, RTW1 was my favorite of the series.

I'm delighted to see they brought back the various patrician factions of Rome (and that they properly referred to them as the Cornelii and the Junii instead of the Scipii and the Brutii, which was wrong on at least two levels). Part of what I loved about RTW is the byzantine intrigue and the politicking in the Senate.

Also, various routes to victory, including military and economic victories? Like Civ 5?

and due to being responsible and trying to keep some sort of budget, I have to wait on this game. :(

All in good time, still can't wait. Egypt's fury will be known soon enough!

Not if my Spartans have anything to say about it, Spitfire'd. ;)

Totally using the first paycheck from my new job to cover this purchase. Captain Irresponsibility, away!

can't wait................................................................ :D
