Windows7 Shutdown freeze

Everytime I go to shutdown my computer or restart normally then it goes to shut down and freezes on the shutdown page I use windows 7 professional...

I have tried flashing the bios and that didn't work since it still freezes :/

www.piriform.com <---- this is for a program called Ccleaner, a very useful, free to use program. Take a look at the features tab to see exactly what Ccleaner will/can do. I would suggest installing Ccleaner, run both portions, the cleaner and reg cleaner... restart your pc... then perform tasks as normal.. then try a normal shutdown.

Hello i would like to see you on vent some point today. There is a few things that can cause this issue and would like to try a process of eliminations and find out what you have tried so far.

For anyone wondering updating windows 7 to sp1 or using this hotfix are 2 of the known ways to fix this and helped in this case http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977307.
