How many here get into real guns?

I know we all play and enjoy first person shooters or we wouldn't be playing dod, but how many here love real guns? I love them and always have. I grew up shooting handguns and rifles. I just purchased a Ruger LCP .380 for conceal carry and wanted to highly recommend it. Its very small, perfect for going into your pocket or a womans purse. I normally carry a Glock 23 but at times was abit heavy. If your looking for a perfect conceal gun you might want to check out the Ruger LCP .380. Later and see y'all in game!

Brewmaster, I did the exact same thing. I had the 40 cal mid side(23) glock for a few years for carrying and general target practice. I then purchased the LCP and now exclusively carry that, although I carry a lot less than I used to. The only other I have is a Marlin tube fed 22 that I have for plinking around...so much fun!

Best handgun I ever owned was a Ruger P89 -- I would run re-loads for target practice and alterated hyda-shock rounds with full metal jackets for home defence. I put roughly 2k rounds down range with that pistol and NEVER had a jam. When I buy another handgun, it will either be another Ruger or an H & K, caliber undetermined yet.

Sig P224 SAS in the 40S&W as carry

Over 2000 through the P220 and never a jam. Have not had the P224 long but I don't expect any issues as it is very similar.

Remington 700 PSS in 300 RUM when I feel foolish enough to spend $3.50-$4 per trigger pull.
And one other that I will not post here as I live in California

I own a few lever action rifles. I've got a .45/70 and my favorite Golden Boy .44 mag rifle. Also have a Marlin .308 that I've used for hunting, but these guns are just as fun to shoot on the range. For some reason they've interested me so they're the only ones I own right now. When I turn 21 next summer I plan on getting either a 3-4" barrel S&W or a Glock 17/26. Revolvers and lever action rifles have always been at the top of my list, but in a family of cops I've also grown to love and respect Glock

You can carry in Cali? In NJ you pretty much have to prove that there is a bounty on your head to get a carry permit. Even need a license to buy ammo

For home defense (Carry when I lived in PA), Glock 19 and S&W J-Frame with laser sights (forgot model number).

My old Russian one had a bayonet and the cleaning kit in the stock...but it got stolen a few years back. I'm using a synthetic "Dragunov" style stock on my Chinese one. I will try to get some pics of it soon

Yes, Cali has crappy CCW rules though, it can be different for different counties. So my CCW in Humboldt may not transfer as I drive through Sac or SF. And as far as I know it doesn't transfer to other states like AZ does.

I think it's a shame people use guns for fun.

I am an avid hunter, so my "go-to guns" are my Browning A5 and Remington 270wsm. I CC a Glock 26. I got a LCP 380 for my wife. She loves it. I would love to try CC'ing a Glock 36 or a Single stack XD if anyone has one they would like to send my way

I would think that shooting guns for fun is a better alternative to killing people with them....

-I have a G23 gen3 midsize also, as my carry piece. With a conceal permit here in Arizona, all I have to do is show it, and I dont have to wait for the Brady hotline response to buy a new weapon. they just ring it up
-Mossberg 500 series, black polymer stock with both 28" and 18.5" interchangeable barrels.
-Krag Jorgensson model Springfield armory 1898 model, but from the serial, was made around 1905-'07. (fold down door on side of receiver for 5 loose shells, and cycle thru them bolt action) Fires 30/40 Krag ammo, I have put about 30 thru it and just ordered 20 more. A little pricey for target practice, but its lots of fun, and very accurate for just iron sights.

I have put only 500 thru the Glock, at the range. I have Hornady, low grain hollowpoints for home and carry, regular FMJ for range.

I have 1 box of tactical shotgun ammo, low spread buckshot for home defense, and around 200 birdshot for the range

Looking for a smaller carry piece, was considering the Springfield XD 9mm... shooting one of those is like shooting a .22 compared to my Glock.

Q, the 9mm Glocks shoot smoothly, at least my G19 (also 3rd gen ) does. I found the G26 too small for my hands; my pinkie hung off the bottom, making it uncomfortable to hold. Now my .38 S&W is a lot less fun to shoot, I guess b/c it is so small you get more kick, plus a heavy trigger pull.

They make extensions for the mags that your pinky can rest on. I picked some up and now it fits perfect for me. The gen 4 also comes with additional back straps to accommodate someone with a much larger hand.
