It's almost a year since I joined eGO, I wanna say thank you to all of you guys!
EGO is a big family for me, sometimes I got accused of hacking, u guys always stand up for me, I am so touched.
Yesterday Teddy ask me how can I play DODS like that, so I would like to share my experience, if any of you wanna improve ur score, I wish I can help!
But, first of all: There is no continue in life so don't waste too much time on video games.
Well...it might be awkward for me to saying that because I play video game for my entire life and now it become part of my job.....lol
Ok lets back to subject.
Gear
I wont encourage u guys to upgrade ur devices but a good mouse is absolutely necessary for FPS games. It will reduce frame missing and lag which created by mouse, and the most important thing, you can set-up DPI by urselves.
DPI is dots per inch, it relates directly to the mouse reading, along with the movement on screen. It works as sensitivity so u dont need to change anything in game setting, let the game reading directly from ur mouse driver and change DPI from ur mouse driver to adjusting sensitivity
For DODS，check "RAW input" from game setting.
U can try whatever DPI u like at first and once u find one, stick to it. However, more slowly, more accurate, and bigger mouse pad u need. For reference I using DPI=900 for years.
I use ‘death adder ’ for years and never change. Once it broken, I get a new one but same model.
The advantage is after u using a same mouse with same DPI for years, it will be very fast and accurate for u to make a 90?turn or 180?in game because u already know exactly the distance u should move ur hand on mouse pad to make that turn, it become part of ur nature. So if someone shotting u from behind u can turn around just like a bot and kill him. Yes u can.
Always Be Curious.
Its a common rule for all FPS games. Check every corner that could be a spot for hiding and just imaging enemies are all around u so in subconscious u already be prepared for fire.
Crosshair
Each player have their own favorite type of crosshair but for DODS I highly recommend a tiny dot.
If u are not comfortable with it u can use a bigger dot at first, then after a lots of practice u can shrink it. Although each weapon and each time u fire, game engine assigns a random value for bullet trajectory, still smaller crosshair can improve the accuracy.
Last thing, personal experience is also a key. There are many tricks we can explore and thats the beauty of video games.
