Based on the outstanding service and field service ribbons; I got my G a month after I joined, and my O a month after that. However, by the time I joined, I've been hanging out with friends (and made new ones) in the Call of Duty division, and became a regular player there for the past several months.
Mak- it is not an obligation to rank up. It's an option for those who wish to take more responsibility upon themselves to help eGO. But the #1 obligation you have is to have fun playing with eGO, enjoy the chance to play with other players who love the same games you do, and hopefully make some friends along the way.

About 6 weeks for G and another 4 weeks after that for my O.
A little less than five months for my G.
About a month for my O.
Seven weeks later I was a house advisor (then the houses went away).
It took a couple of years to became a Specialty Team Advisor. I'd been doing the work for a long time, it just took a while for them to increase my pay by 200%. It may have been 300%. Three times zero is still zero.

3 months for my G, 11 months for my O
You're not absolutely obligated to accept a promotion if it's offered to you. Some people haven't wanted the extra responsibility and declined.

Am I the only one who gets upset at threads like these?
When you brag about your promotion, you isolate those who haven't been promoted. It over-emphasizes the responsibility and over glorifies it. Being in this clan is not about having that G or that O. It's about contributing to the best community of gamers that you can find anywhere. You can do that at any rank. Everyone has equal responsibility in this regard.
It's about the environment, it's not about the rank. If you don't get that, why are you here?

Also, just in case anyone is missing what I'm trying to say, this is not a disrespect to those who have been promoted. Congratulations, I'm sure you deserve it and serve the community well. I'm just trying to say that being a part of this clan is so much more than that.
