Black walls and floors

My problem is just what I stated on the subject. I've tried redownloading, verifying game files, defragmenting, rebooting. Not sure if I should restore yet. The game lags a lot when it goes the the MOTD and the like. Help! !sad

It sounds like a video card problem, whats your video card? Also try updating your drivers quickly.

HAHAHAHAHA, good one! That's a video card issue. You should try desinstalling it's drivers and reinstalling the new ones..

well wat kinds of graphics are u using ATI or Nvidia? If Nividia i would update if ATI i would update or get a new one.

Is this checker board style black and purple textures? Also update to the latest DirectX 9. Make sure you do not have "-dx 6,7,8" on your tf2 startup.

If you tell me your video card I can tell you what drivers you need, cant say not knowing what your video card is though. =X

So, let me get this straight - without knwoing what he has you are going to reccomend based on BRAND ONLY weather he should update drivers or buy new hardware? are you kidding me? I see your point though, if he has a geforce2 32MB he should just gt new drivers and if he has a 2600xt he should definately upgrade because that card is so last month.

I have a primary and secondary driver. I update the primary and leave the secondary alone. Raedonx300

Ok now I just reinstalled my DRIVER. The walls are fine now but water is totally black like oil and when I become invisible as a spy it's also black.
To answer your question Kendle, it was totally black, not like the checkers.
