I definitely think there's a source 2 to be released soon, that's why half life 3 is taking so long. I'm also willing to bet my shoutbox reputation that hl3 will include a coop, similar to portal 2 but more people playing like a 4 person coop.

This just makes me so sad. Half Life: 2 and Episode 1 & 2 are the only story-based FPS that I've actually played the entire way through
