TF2 is Valve's experimenting grounds. They're just gonna constantly update it.
Also that's cool. I saw no need for a L4D3, but at least Valve has a nice shiny 3 now.

Technically they counted to 3 with the Half-Life franchise a long time ago. HL1, then HL: Opposing Force, and finally HL: Blue Shift. Getting nit-picky about it HL2 is actually HL4.

FUN FACT!
Opposing Force and Blue Shift were made by, wait for it, Gearbox! Not Valve, though they were sold under the Valve logo. If you don't believe me, start up either one of the games and you'll see the Gearbox logo.
Anyways, why do we need Left 4 Dead 3? What can you honestly add to a linear level style zombie survival game? More guns? A [STRIKE]better[/STRIKE] story? The 10 year anniversary of HL2 is almost upon us. Work on that instead, it's what the fans want.
