Old rig's processor, new computer. Mobo needed

Decided recently that I need a second gaming computer for a friend that can't bring his over, I salvaged from my old rig the processor, an AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754. This processor is old I guess, since I cannot find any Mobo with a Socket 754 for it. Anybody know of a company that still makes a mobo in that socket and good quality?

Searched really quickly on newegg.com and found this Foxconn mobo. The mobo the processor used was a Foxconn also. Link Follows.

Trust me when I tell you that you do NOT want the asus k8v. Not even remotely.
Aside from the fact that it has a Via chipset, it happens to also be garbage. To be more specific, I owned the sk8v which is the same motherboard but in the socket 940 pin and it was singlehandedly what started my hatred of asus. I never want to own another asus product again ( not just this but I also know of many many many people with problems with asus).

I RMA'd the board 3 times in a year and the one I have now is still fooked. Infact the entire computer is sitting on my floor in my office doing absolutely nothing because ide rather waste the remaining dollars than deal with it some more. Worst motherboard I have ever owned - including whatever POS came in that gateway I have from 2000.

I like the looks of that foxconn,... i would buy a foxconn and plus it is the onlyone with a decent chipset. The Via was alright at best, I got the via chipset on mine because it was better than the nforce3 but not the nforce 4 (which didnt exist at the time).

hmm when i looked it said it was nforce 4.. must have been seeing things. it sucks via went from the best amd chipset to 2nd worst (sis is garbage)

Hi Buddy, I may have a socket 754 board you can have. I build a lot of comps and end up with a lot of extra parts from older computers. If your interested I will send you some pictures of the parts I find and if you decide you want one of them all you would have to do is pay for shipping.

You can check ebay too for older stuff.

I've had really good luck on there with comp stuff for my older rigs.

In fact, about 2 hours ago I installed 512Mb if that old 800Mhz RDRAM in a p4 box I have next to this one that I got on there for $40 with shipping. It newegg wanted like $200 for it the last time I checked.
