Steam in-game?

Can you guys tell me why when i open TF2 i press Shift+Tab when i want to speak with steam in game ting. But it dosent work when i press shift+tab in TF2. But in other games it works... and its enabled

Steam friends is glitchy now and then, can get a bit annoying at times, sometimes its your internet, or it could just be your game, that same thing happens to me with xfire, it only works with GMOD, NOTHING ELSE, its so annoying !mistrust

have you mapped tab or shift to do something other than what is default in tf2?

It happens to me too. I looked it up in Steams support forums and it said that it was an issue they were aware of that was affecting a small percentage of users. It gets worse too, sometimes I'd press Shift Tab, nothing would happens, then a couple minutes later the overlay would pop up and wouldn't go away. Sometimes it would pop up but not take focus so I would still be playing with that covering my screen. I'm really hoping they fix it soon.

Have you tried binding the in-game overlay to a different key? I have mine set to End and have never had a problem.

me too i binded mine to the Insert button. and xfire i learned that you have to exit steam then turn xife on then steam and then play TF2

same problem here. it used to work in-game but then it randomly stopped. now every time i get a friend invite it minimizes the game (which is NOT fun during a match)

Steam has too many glitch.

Try changing the button instead of Shift+Tab..
