I'm thinking about getting one soon. I've heard rumors that some phones burnt internally and also some problems with the Wi-Fi. How's it runnin for you so far?

I think the iPhone is overrated. In general, wireless phones should be designed to make important calls for important reasons. All the extra crap on the phone is just for people too bored or lonely for anything else .

Otherwise just get a flippin PocketPC.

I highly suggest you do. One of the coolest things i own. I've actually never heard anything about internally burnt phones and a buddy of mine used to buy and unlock, then sell back at a markup and he's never had a problem with any of them and he's in pretty close contact to everyone he's sold one to. Also i've never had a problem with the Wi-Fi in the slightest. I love it! Just make sure if you do get one that it has firmware before 1.1.2. If you get a phone with 1.1.2 firmware you're screwed.

ya i GAVE my treo 750 away lol. this is my second iphone (lost 1 on my bday). Out of the box it is lackluster, but with good entertainment potential. modified. well modified it is the best phone i have ever had. I have modded / tweaked almost every phone i have ever had but the iphone hands down has the hardware and developement community behind it. one way to put it is the iphone is serious business.

Well i dont care for apple much. Its weird actually, I used to hate apple alot - but then I really started ot like them alot because they didnt screw with you the way that PC manufacturor did. They didnt try to cheat you, and they didnt put 128MB of RAM in a PC that needs 512. They seemed to car and not make crappy products. They just focused on the nice ones which is hwyt hey -appear- to be more expensive but arent.

Only problem is that they are becomming popular and pretty mcuh ever since the iphone, are begining to turn into microsoft and sell products made out of pure dog turds. - like the ipods -. Or a few other big executive decisions they have made that just make them evil in disguize as the funloving cool apple they used ot be. they peaked. (in caringness)

I'm not jealous, per se. I've never really been interested in PocketPCs or anything similar. It just... wasn't that interesting.

If I'm so pathetic as to need to surf YouTube while I'm away from my computer.... I should shank myself. They made the laptop for such reasons and the iPhone is just a smaller, weaker version of the laptop.

The iPhone may be a hardcore useful device for you... but I am far from interested in paying $400 so I have something to do on the train (and a reason to get mugged).

first off, i really don't know what makes you think foul language would be ok on the forums but not in the servers.

well i know what you're talking about with apple. basically what happened was steve wozniak left apple and now they are turning into a pc proxy. i agree completely.

HOWEVER, the iphone is an amazing device once you unlock and jailbreak it. plus there's an incredible community backing it as 2sl0w mentioned (not apple ). it seems you don't know much about it or you're being stubbornly biased for no reason.
