XG Nvidia / ATI Graphics drivers - The official drivers of EGO.

oh snap i've been looking for some different drivers, cuz nvidia's suck! i've been limping along with their latest beta drivers, but i get random crashes and weird graphic defects (TF2 especially) thx for this

romantic death is having loads of success with them on his ATI card in his desktop. there is a noticeable difference.

Ill look into the 64bit side, i currently use the nvidia drivers only so im a little behind on the ati driverside.
 
Hey 2sl0w, I've already installed this driver. My vcard is a Radeon X700 PCI-Express 256 MB, but I can hardly notice a significant improvment. After doing all the process, what else should we do?

Well, these drivers aren't going to magically make a card better. They're essentially just the stock NVidia drivers that have been tweaked a bit, certainly better than the stock, but it's not like they're gonna overclock your card. Some games will run smoother, but we're talking in most cases 5-10fps better and less graphical glitches.

Now, if you're looking to overclock or do more serious tweaks you might want to try [link=http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner]RivaTuner[/link]. But it requires a bit more technical knowledge and as always, overclocking can be dangerous for your hardware.
 
I just reinstalled (from vista business x64 to win xp pro x32, what a performance boost!) my system and used latest tweakforce drivers and I don't see any difference, maybe they are tweaked to other games.

you dont see a difference in FPS or Detail? Maybe the sugar pill has been a little to sweet for me but usually they have a noticeable, if not significant impact on the visual quality and performance of the game. If you want to take it a step further you can goto www.tweakguides.net and read the windows tweak guides and game tweak guides. Also if your brave enough you can look into overclocking for a performance boost, but i recommend tweaking before overclocking if you havent done it before.

I dunno if anyone else has this error... but I decided that I was going to test this out. I goto the Nvidia one... XP... and I install. I reboot, everything seemingly fine.


But when I play ingame I am getting severe glitches like gates having this weird dark / light gray alternating color pattern... weird glitches with the "projected" engineer build mat...

I dunno what is going on but I'm running a 8600GT and it is just giving me errors. I don't understand.
 
Oh must say thanks again for those drivers 2sl0w, and they work WONDERS for me, but FYI i have an AGP card, that may be why i get better performance than the rest of you with PCI-e.

Its a ATI X850 Pro 256mb

did you run driver cleaner before you installed the driver? Run the driver cleaner software and remove the nvidia drivers. then reinstall these drivers and you should be set.
 
ok, I reinstalled for the second time (I messed with nForce drivers, don't ask) an installed XG Nvidia drivers and I must say:

WOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

now TF2 runs really fast, thanks!
 
Well I had to screw around with alot. But eventually I managed to get rid of the old drivers and install the new stuff.

Had some small issues with that but otherwise I started TF2... didn't see the crazy glitches.

And now I can run it on max settings 1280x1024... very high detail... no problems. Before it was 1180 x 986 or whatever.

I'm dumping windows Vista tonight...

Upgrading to XP Pro.

Should run much better.
