Why is this game so hard?

I swear I die as soon as I spawn in most matches. I wondering if you guys can give me a few tips cause I had an embarrassing moment were I didn't no who to plant the bomb and cause my team the match.

Those guys really don't hold back the insults 0_0.

If you're not familiar with the map, use your radar and follow a large bunch of where your team goes.

Don't be the first to rush into new areas. Always follow teammates and back them up instead, that way:

1) Your teammates can absorb the enemies bullets.
2) You can pick off the enemies shooting at your teammates.
3) Chances are the enemies will not be at full health, making them easier to kill.

Rinse and repeat until you get a good feel for the map and the critical points.

If you do this, though, do not throw flashbangs. You never know when your teammates decide to corner.

Good luck and have fun! Just remember there's a reason why CS:S is 50 years old and still as popular as ever!

Well, when I started, it was hard for me too, kept dying all the time.

But now, i'm like reasonable (not great), just aim for the head and do burst fire i guess

The best way to learn how to play this game other than just playing it is to watch other players when you are dead. When I started out I died a lot and when I was waiting to be respawned I spectated the top players in the server.

Don't be the first to rush into new areas

Always rush, get yourself a Pump shotgun and blow the brains from your enemies or make them become swiss cheese with a Para spray. (Last one is for noobs)

I would say that the p90 is the overall "easy to use" gun. It has good firepower, lots of bullets in a mag, and enough range as long as you're not trying to shoot across the map with it. If the target is far and you really want the kill, I would definitely do 3 round bursts, but even that the target might be too far. Best to use the p90 at a medium-short range. In my opinion, very easy to use.

Play on deathmatch servers. It's how I learned to play and it's great for practicing

Not sure what the official definition of baiting is...

But all I advocated for is letting more experienced players lead the rush, rather than wander off into the snake pit by yourself. Follow the experienced players, learn where to head and support the team by providing firepower from the back.

Until you get a good feel for the game/map, never be a lone wolf. Your chances are better by sticking with the experienced players.

ieye and spark got it down. Waffles also suggested what I was about to do. When I first started out, I was like you. So I started playing deathmatch and gungame so I could get familiar with each weapon and how they work, then improve my aim.
