hey, i definitely have some spyware on my comp (which is why i havent been playing TF2 much, recently) and i dont really want to pay $50 for ultimate defender or pc tools' spyware doctor or anything like that. What are you guys using? (free would be nice )

^^ Yea those are definitely the best. I used Spyware Doctor before but it just uses up a lot ram and crashes often.

AVG anti virus and anti spyware are my favorite... but really.. if you want to get rid of spyware you need to run pyroware. zzzzzinng

it just so happens that spybot and ad aware (as already mentioned) are botht he best and also free. The pay ones NEVER EVER work as good.

Well Lafinas, no joke, some of us trust in what came with the OS. And after some good crashes Spybot and Adware is installed.

trust it once shame on MS, think its perfect shame on you. It helps to prevent some things on start up yes, but it doesnt remove anything. Plus I hate whne it blocks programs i tell it not to. I agree with lafinass, as usual - and opposite to volcom, as usual.

thanks for all of the links guys. im using spybot and AVG right now. i've gotten rid of most of the problems but i still think my comp is in critical condition. i still wont be playing any TF2 for a couple more days
