I've been playing it since Closed Beta, but I stopped due to reasons I've stated below.
It's really good, but it has a handling and feeling from Ridge Racer Unbounded. I miss the old lighter, drift happy feel of the cars, especially from Ridge Racer 7. Cars in this game feels way heavier. With all the new stuff added that wasn't from the previous game, like takedowns and destructible environments, I think it feels more like Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) rather than Ridge Racer.
Another complaint that I have, they really should address are the car durability. While the cars feel heavy, their durability are like paper. Ramming through destructible walls and other stuff are fine, but once you hit a solid wall, your car blows up. In order to fix your car, you have to use Repair Kits, which you can earn slowly by playing everyday, or by buying them using real money. The higher the value of your car is, the more Repair Kit it costs to fix it when your car gets totaled. I just hope they make the cars a bit more durable.
I do hope they fix the car balancing as well. Since everything was free in the store during the Closed Beta, you can get a very powerful car, and compete with players using starter cars. I hope they divide it by tiers this time around. I really don't want to compete with someone that's using a car that's 10x faster than mine. I do hope that's not case this time around.
It's a fun racing game, but it would be even better if they fixed these problems I mentioned.
