Hey guys, im trying to get COD4 from steam (thanks to Mostly Harmless ) and I see this on firefox AND the steam store through steam ----> [link=hyperlink url]http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=7940&cc=US[/link]

And as you notice, there is NO PURCHASE THING >_< I dont really want to download from other places, I like the convinence of steam, im thinking they stopped people from downloading it because maybe they had to many people downloading it? giving there servers a break maybe?
Its not the age thing, Ive already made sure I had an older date on there.

It's weird cause I did a search for DO4 and in the results shows price ($49.95) and there is nothing about on news or support...

I went to the steam forums and someone made a thread about this very thing, and a vlave guy said this: "We're waiting on some info from Activision and should have this fixed shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience." Hope its fixed soon!!!!

I've heard nothing but problems with CoD4 and Steam. Retail is the way to go.

The only problem I had with the steam version was that the Community Overlay needs to be turned off to satisfy Punk Buster, otherwise I've had a perfect experience with it.

Of course I haven't played it in weeks, so maybe it's gone downhill.

If you do buy it, my friend told me that you can then add it to your steam account to play without the cds. You just have to keep them to install.

I never added mine to my steam account and I dont need the discs to play. Once you install put the discs away and its fine.
