It's an achievement hat that basically everyone in the game has at this point.
And hatless or gibus wearing players are generally thought to be less skilled by more seasoned players of the game.

Welcome to the HatCatAnimeHat Division. I really recommend that you see the advice I (and other people too) gave to Flower.

And that isn't really true... I've seen some pretty awesome people wearing just the primary hat.

Especially as spy. I'll take off all my miscs and hats or just wear the gibus and run straight at people. They never expect me to play intelligently once I'm cloaked.

Then, once they get stairstabbed and see who my knife was signed by, they take me reaaaaaaaaaaaaaal seriously. It's quite funny, actually, since there are better spies than me.

Thanks! I just played my first game of TF2 (against live and dying players) in 2Fort. Had a lot of fun. The characters are quite comical.

Apparently, the gibus increases projectiles shot at you by 50% when worn by a pyro. Who knew?

Welcome to the TF2 division; I didn't even realized the COD division was gone 0_o. But here some friendly advice for this division.
1. Beware Kazoo = Shes made of Hacks
2. Beware Mini Sentries = There made of Rage Quit
3. There is always a spy around even before the round start.
4. Pester Idol to the Max.
5. VP enjoys the direct hit(soldier weapon) shot him with it.
6. The frying pan has a 75% chance to crit on hit.
7. The Ham has a increase chance of making people rage.
8. When someone pulls out there melee weapon at you YOU BETTER DO THE SAME AND FIGHT THEM!!!.

By following these simple steps this division will be easy for you.
One more thing GIBUS+Backburner+W(key)and Mouse 1[w+m1] will make you unkillabe at times.

I used to go around pubs with only the gibus and the mercenary equipped with my name as xxX_pr0l33tsn1p3r_360_Xxx.

This. I like to use the backburner, too, for added wtf on reflect kill.

Oh, and Humility, who needs revolvers? I don't. I'll just butter knife them to death all day long.
