Hello,

Found this amazing game the other day and when I got the chance, I didn't hesitate to purchase it.

For those not familiar with it, it's a cooperative game of airship combat in a Steampunk setting. You have a crew of 4 people on your airship and must work together, communicating, to fly and fight with your ship. The captain generally flies the ship while the engineers and gunners alternate between shooting and repairing systems.

It's a great game with lost of action and excitement, but it requires a communicating team that can work together.

I joined my first crew as a gunner, got into a battle and said "where do you want me Captain?" expecting to get instructions. My question was immediately answered with "Shut the (Blank) up! Alright, let's do this (blank)!" That was also the last I heard from my team.

Suffice to say I'm looking for friendly people to play this together with. It's clearly a game where communication and teamwork will prevail every time.

I'll be online next tomorrow night (Sunday night) around 11pm Eastern Time and would love to fly with fello eGO members. If you're up for it, post here and let me know! See you in the skies!

I have this game haven't played it too much. I'd be down to play it with you!

Drew-X I'll be sure to add you. Zero joined me briefly on a ship with a well-mannered and communicating captain and it was a blast, well to me at least. Hopefully for you too Zero!

Anyone else? One more person and we'll have a full ship!

EDIT: Forgot to mention I'll be playing again Monday (9-16-13) either in the early afternoon and possibly the late evening. I'm on Eastern Time so be sure to look me up if you want to join!

There we were, crew assembled. Mitsubishi Zero was able to join me on my Galleon, the CSS Virginia. The mission was King of the Hill. We were to fly to the center of the map and hold a control point until we accumulated 600 points. The terrain was that of a ruined city, like London after a severe bombing on a stormy evening.

It was the CSS Virginia's maiden voyage and I wasn't used to her controls. She moved slower, more sluggish and I initially disliked this about her. The crowded airways made movement difficult as I had to constantly calculate routes to avoid buildings, many times being unsuccessful and creating more work for Zero as I shall elaborate next.

Zero was tasked as my chief engineer to keep her well oiled and running. My two gunners were sent below deck with the big guns. Two heavy weapons on each side. When not repairing systems there was a light gatling gun on the port side that Zero could also take control of. Finally, behind my station there was a lone long range rifle with an aft facing should we need it.

Our opponents were two Pyrmidions, fast ships with two front facing light guns as well as two more light guns on the port side. Their biggest strength seemed to me the initial approach as they could fire off several shots with their front guns.

The battle began quickly and remained intense for the duration. I would spot an enemy ship and attempt to bring the ship about, giving my gunners the best shot that I could. The CSS Virginia is a tough ship and withstood many shots, Zero scrambling to keep her up. Several times we had close encounters with death and initially I thought we would be the first casualty of the battle, but my crew was valiant and not only did our ship survive but it destroyed the enemy ships multiple times before we finally died once.

We gathered our courage and strength and set course right back for the control point, right to the middle of the action. Neither side had gained control of it yet and every moment was crucial. Zero had to leave soon and I worried we'd soon be without our engineer.

The most memorable moment of the engagement occurred when both my gunners and our ally's ship concentrated fire on a lone Pyrmidion as it tried to wrest control of the point. It was destroyed, and I could hear the collective sigh of my crew as we relaxed. I began to observe my systems and prepared to issue repair orders when something caught my eye. I looked to the right and there was the other Pyrmidion, coming straight at us, guns blazing. "RIGHT SIDE RIGHT SIDE PYRMIDION SPOTTED OPEN FIRE!" I bellowed as quickly as I could. Zero ran to the hull to continue his excellent work ethic on repairs and my gunners opened fire as fast they could. "Lay into him boys, let this be his last mistake!" I yelled as I manuevered my vessel to keep him in the sights of my gunners. I activated one of my special pilot abilities and damaged the engines to turn faster. Keeping the Pyrmidion to the right side it was only a matter of time before my gunners brought it down.

It was a fantastic voyage with a great crew. The CSS Virginia was difficult to get used to, but she has proven her worth. The crew complemented my captaining but I could not take the credit, for the Captain is only as good as the crew that follows him, and I certainly could not have assembled a finer crew if I had tried. The mission was a decisive victory, the opposing team getting completely shut out.

(Seriously this game is awesome, if anyone else gets it let me know, would love to fly with you)
