How many have served in the military?

I'm currently ineligible but I have always wanted to and have great respect for those that do serve.
 
Had a lot of military history in my family, both grandfathers served in WWII. Also had a great grandfather that was a general of some pedigree in the USAAC (Air Corps). My mother is an ex-marine and her three brothers were spread across the army, air force, and navy, but that's as far down as it goes.

Served in Finnish Defense Forces for 9 months, now in reserve as medical corporal. My both grandfathers were in the front against Soviet Union in WW2, one as a medic and another as gunboat-operative.

I've haven't served...YET! I've always wanted to to serve my country but I've just never had a good opportunity based upon the schooling I've done. I'm thinking about joining after grad school because I know I'll regret not serving and they'll pay off a good chunk of my student loans.
