Looking to Buy a Laptop

Im looking to buy a laptop that will last a while and can handle TF2 of course xD

Price 800-1200$
Graphics: ATI or Nvidia
Ram 1GB or better

Thats pretty much what mine is but it is fast enough to run a game server

Although dell desktops (except XPS ones) are pretty bad... their laptops are pretty good. Check out their outlet XPS/Inspiron laptops which are anything from open box and refurbs to scratch dent (which are patheticly unnoticable or pointless scratch and dents lol)... you can get something around a 1.7 - 2.0GHz Core2Duo, 2GB's DDR2 667, 100GB HDD (some w/ 250) and a nVidia 8600M GT 256mb or the faster nVidia Geforce 7900GS for anywhere between $950 to $1100. They update several times per day... so one may be there one hour and gone the next.

If you want a semi-reasonable computer, good bang for the buck, and absolutely no tech support whatsoever, then yeah. Go Dell.

I will never buy from them again, myself. Probably would just go Lenovo or Toshiba (besides, I have a desktop for doing games).

I didnt say I was a fan either but for what you can get for the $$ its not bad... Toshiba would be great but their prices are a tad higher...

Hmm that is pretty good but the 1.83 gHz is bad..

Maybe not the best for a desktop but a 1.83ghz core 2 duo is not bad for a laptop... the fastest is 2.4 and you'll dish out another $500 just for that cpu, Plus if you want any shred of battery power left the extra MHz arent really worth it for the mild performance boost. That 7900GTX would run just about everything you would want to on a laptop... and hell for 1000 bucks its unbeatable considering that laptops w/ lesser performance sell for $500 and easily more.

True True but i wouldn't mind spending more for a better CPU. But the Graphics card is a beautify for like 1 grand.
