I'v notice that I have improve in the game to the point that I can actually make even with my K/D ratio but I want to get better. Where do you guys go to check improve your aim with a weapon or just to get to know it better?

Someone once told me to try aiming at some tin can prop in dust or dust2, by hitting it into the air and then seeing if you could hit it on it's way down; the objective being to see how many consecutive shots you can get on the can while still keeping it in the air.

Personally, I just set my cross hair to a dot and started burst firing 1-3 shots, and via practice just learned the timing needed to reduce recoil to an acceptable amount.

Also, playing any sort of zombie mod will seriously destroy your aiming habits cause all you do is spray and pray.

If you play in jail, you can learn to aim accurately at CTs once you can get a hold of a gun.

Death match servers help too, you won't have to wait to respawn.

Deathmatch before you play ANY gamemode. After you deathmatch try some aim maps, then do some pubs, try not to spray in any of these steps.

Good Aim map:

Also, maybe invest in ESEA, it really improves your game

DO NOT play jail. It gives you bad habbits of shooting stationary targets

It may sound really odd, but I actually use osu! to practice for CS:S. osu! helps build up a reaction time and your aim. Other than that, jail works pretty well despite what people say.

I also just learned from playing the game for awhile. Skill will come with time as well.

lol at most of these, what you need to do is go onto a death match server daily with and without a crosshair on. You should also play a lot of aim maps, and purchase ESEA which will help a lot. Getting Netcode Illuminati would help you a lot as well if you wanted to play comp.

Playing without a crosshair is pointless.

make even with my K/D ratio

Forget the Ratio, what i will make to you is worse than not paying attention, i did pay attention to it, my K/D got to 0.6 or so, i forgot about it now is at 0.8 (Not much but i honestly don't care if it goes up, i still look at it from time to time and have a few rounds to try and get a few kills but, when you don't think about it you can go to 15-7 in some rounds.

If you have CS:GO downloaded you should play our DM server, good practice with bots. Or play minigames, but in reality you need to find what works for you. So maybe give a few of these suggestions a try, maybe try a suggestion of your own and see how it goes.

What I usually do is I go into an instant respawn deathmatch server, and I unbind my reload button. That means you do not reload until you are out of bullets. I know it sounds silly, but the adrenaline rush you get when you have 5 bullets left and 3 enemies pop into B on dust2 as you come through tunnels can help you in getting those 3 headshots and not dying. And even if you do miss, it is practice for pulling out the pistol to save your life. It's just a good way to learn to conserve ammo, get the headshots, reduce spray, weapon switch, and deal with high tension and clutch situations. Another thing I used to use in CSS was my spray -- which was a crosshair with multiple dots in a circular pattern, in which I did a multitude of aiming warmups before a deathmatch. However, due to CSGO not allowing sprays, I've had to discontinue this practice.

I hate playing DM. It's filled with a bunch of people camping and awping.

When I was starting out I created my own server with a lot of bots on the other team that used knives only. When they ran toward me I would focus on bursting 2 bullets and trying to get each bot in under 2 bursts. Only bursting, no spraying at all.

For spray control I created a server on any map and I just used a spray about as wide as a player model and sprayed at it with sv_showimpacts on. I tried to keep most of my bullets on the spray.

I dont really care about ratio, as long as i kill some people, im happy :)

To practice my aim I create my own server and practice with bots. I normally do this on an aim_map just because well they're made for practice. The key is to focus on reflex and burst consistency. That means turning quickly and really focusing on just trying to kill the bots as quickly as possible. Whether that be bursting (2-3 shots) or spraying, it has helped me improve my game tremendously.

Deathmatching helps a little but I have spent hours on aim_maps just practicing and practicing and practicing...

Tell that to caseyfoster, if you play like that then you stop looking at your crosshair when you shoot and you start to look for where the player will be.
