Bad Company 2 Could not Login Soldier ???

Guys, I've just spoken to an EA representative over the phone (EA UK phone number: 01483 463000, close at 1700 BST) and they are working hard to resolve the problem. The problem is that as stated above and in previous posts, their disk array has died, and MOST of the data has been recovered. Assuming that they back up at least once in 24 hours, you wont lose an awful lot, if you're an earlier rank, you may have gone down a rank, or if you're in the higher ranks you may find that you've lost your most recent 24 hours work, not all bad, and not completely blown out the water.

It is shocking though how a company as big as EA would do maintainence on their disk arrays, you know, like we do a system hard drive test every few months just to make sure everything is tickety-boo.

But they are working hard to address the situation and it should be up and running very soon *fingers are tightly crossed*

BTW, creating a new soldier with only lowercase letters will let you in... interesting how that would work, but it does. You will notice players that are still 50s or higher ranking players will have all lowercase letters in their names.

No matter what I've tried I still cannot login.I have the game through STEAM.

1: Created new soldier = No JOY!
2: Created new soldier (Lowercase) = No JOY!
3: Uninstalled & Deleted any folder associated with BF:BC2 = Tell ya in a few.

Server 24\7 Heavy Metal says 7 people on, need to play getting DTs. If anyone can get on to play PLEASE POST how the heck you got on whether it be STEAM or ORIGIN.

...yeah, a real commie plot I say. I was on our server (which just crashed after I was baseraped by the "new" kwitschbo jerky boy....) It truly sucks as they say. It's amazing how bent out of shape folks get over this, like it's the end of their world...go figure.... This is just like our secretive government, no truth or answers to enquiring minds. I'd say this about ends my career here, i'm not starting over, i'm not buying any more games. I knew this would unfold, but wasn't expecting to be forced out into a corner this way. Everyone go do the projects they have procrastinated on....I have to make-up for 3000 hours of my life crammed into a silly game....i'll be pretty busy here! Love, the new jcsloneranger!

Pretty much given up on BC2 myself, made new soldier went to find servers...nothing but blank, this includes servers that I KNOW are there. All I can say is EA up to their old tricks again, yea they did this with BF2, made that game so bad you can't play it anymore, and I exspect they will do the same to BC2 so everyone will get on the BF4 wagon. I may hop on that wagon if and when the price for it drops below the $110 for it and it's version of premium. Or I may go back to boycotting EA, at this point I just am not sure.
