So, I was wondering how you guys got into Counter Strike Source? Or if you are old school and played Counter Strike then CSS?

Well I found the game through my favorite Youtubers and got interested. I got the game and thought it wasn't the best. Then I found eGO Jail and from there my opinion changed completely.

I started back in High School with 1.3. Did some local LAN tournaments, then got into competitive gaming. CS was the game to play. Went through 1.3 to 1.5 to 1.6. Skipped CSS and back for CS:GO

I bought the orange box, played some tf2 at first, realized it was boring, went to css had more fun

Found it in a box, had a crappy pc then, so i dl'd it. Played it the first time and fell in love with it.

i began playing on 1.5 when i was like 4-5 :D

Born gamer like him.

I played Half-Life, enjoyed it as hell when i was 5, then i got to know about CS 1.6
played with my brothers, steam came, i used my brothers account, decided to make mine, got HL2 then begged for CS:S to them (i already knew it by that moment) and started hardcore playing.

Started getting into steam games again a year ago, thought Id try out CS:S since I knew eGO supported it. Got the game for my 13th birthday, hopped on dust, left a minute or so later as it looked too overwhelming. Waited a few weeks, saw a thread about first time jail mistakes, I didn't want to read all the rules, but I learned not go on CT and started loving it.

Back around September 2000, while I was in the military, I had some extra free time and I looked for an action-packed game, and found the Beta 7 of CS. I picked it up and never put it down, though I migrated to Source soon after it was released. I also played a lot of CZ and even beat it completely on single-player.

Found alot of people on my friend list having css. So I decided to the orange box and check it out. Like it and left the tf2 division to be here. This game reminds of my young days of 7-8 playing quake 3 arena.

Been playing for 4 years. My friend bought me CS:S and GMOD for Christmas.

i started when i was young like 9 or 10

Brother showed me 1.0 when it first came out and I progressively started playing up until 1.6 and then Source came out. I never played seriously, just here and there, for funsies. But now I like playing Source to kill time. GO isn't my thing yet, nor will I ever think it will be.

I played it casually in 05?.. in college with a LAN group in the dorms for a few weeks. Recently I just like to hang out in mini-maps when my division is sleeping lol.

A friend got me CS:S for Christmas 09' and forced me to play it with him daily until it started to grow on me and eventually I found eGO.

I got into video games very young, playing PS1 games with my older brother and watching my dad play early CS, Half Life, TF1, etc. As I grew up, it was less watching and more playing, until eventually my dad built me a PC, and the first game I played on it was TF2, and then CSS. I moved on as years past, on to COD:MW2 and BF:BC2, Assassin's Creed, and other great games. About a year ago, I finally started getting back into CSS, and that's when ASIAN INVASION recruited me for eGO back around January. Been here ever since.

Honestly, it was from seeing the Office map used in machinimas such as the Gmod Idiot Box. I wanted that map, so I got the CS:S and Gmod double pack, since it was cheaper then buying both games at the time.

I thought, "eh, might as well give this a try if it's on my hard drive." Haven't stopped playing since!

Been playing Counter-Strike for going on 13 years now. Started with 1.6 and Condition Zero and started playing the beta of Source when Half-Life 2 came out. I've switched back and forth between Source and 1.6 over the years but Source has always been my favorite.
