If you didn't know, update #12 was just released recently that fixed numerous issues with economy and gameplay.

Systems

Made tweaks to the economy system - added a whole lot more money to PAYOUTs and matched that with prices. Bags are super important! Or go check out Big Oil...
Made tweaks to the skill costs, higher tiers are now more balanced
Increased the XP payout depending on difficulty

Much Needed! I'm glad that they fixed this. Money for certain heists were restored and your cash value increases significantly with the number of loot bags you escape with.

This will definitely bring me back to the game to at least try-out. I got burned out rushing to 76 and got tired of the Rats/smash and go farming.

Hopefully this adds a bit more variety into what people were playing!
