Yeah, so I did it, I signed up to be a dedicated supporter. And I'm feeling a little antsy inside. I mean come on, its only $5.00 a month, but I'm working trying to get through college and the thought of another "bill" just makes me uncomfortable. But I do love CS:S and I do think that eGO is doing a fantastic job and would love to see it continue...

So tell me, is it really worth it??? What do you think???

I got 2 free day of Supporter 1337, it was nice, have your own forum title and nades that have a trail, jail hats, extra credit earn.

Yup, worth it.

I just renewed my 3-month DS subscription yesterday. I pay $14 ($4.66/month) and I get to give 5 reputation points instead of 3 per hour, I get to change my chat color on certain servers, and on top of all that, I can change my forum title.

Yes, to me, it's worth it, but I also have a fairly nice disposable income.

Dedicated supporter is to support eGO.. End of story really I mean if you're tight up for cash or something no one is asking you to donate ;) It's really just up to you.. You get some bonuses for being dedicated supporter but spending money in real life for important things then save your money ;)

Is you donating 5 dollars a month worth it?
Yes. Every penny counts! You help pay for our servers, our bandwidth, and more.

I have the budget to donate 5 a month, I just get ansty when I spend money, thats just who I am. Sort of opposite end of the spectrum....

Its worth it cuz it helps eGO maintain everything and as a member you should support it.

Huh, I think it's worth it. Nobody is forcing you though... In the end it's up to you, so you shouldn't feel antsy :(

Yeah I know, and I chose to do it because I think eGO is good and what they have going needs to continue. And I'll get over the antsyness, this is just how I am, literally when I buy about anything I get this way. But after some sleep I'll be fine.

Here is a good tip for college gamers that may be tight on money. The next time you are driving around and you see a fast food restaurant that you want to pull into. Drive by it and put that money for the fund. Do that twice and 3 months are paid.

Like Ric said, every penny counts and even if you can't donate, you help us just by playing and staying active on our servers!

Words to live by...

It's $51 a year... It really ain't that much. Next time you want to buy a used game or something, don't and you'll have enough for DS for an year.

Do the same with drinking coffee anywhere other than at home. Coffee at most places is at least $1 a cup, when you can brew it yourself (with milk and sugar, if you like) for around 20 or 25 cents a cup on the high end. And before you say that you need a coffeemaker, Wal-Mart sells those for under $9. One week of coffee at home will just about pay for that, and imagine what else you can get with the money you save!

Also, give up smoking and save thousands per year. :P
